The world’s most pressing problems are bottlenecked on talent.
We conduct applied research to develop a global talent search.
Our research currently spans the following areas:
Talent identification
• Test methodologies for identifying exceptional talent
• Predictors of long-term career success
• Measures of rationality
Talent programs
• Long-term impacts of talent programs
• Exceptional educational methods
• Gaps in education: undervalued foundational content
Our co-founders work with researchers and academic collaborators all around the world.
• Atlas Fellowship application data and program results are used to develop and refine talent identification methodologies
• Literature reviews and expert interviews are used to identify gaps in the literature
• Novel talent measures are developed, tested, and validated through the Atlas Fellowship application
Our Research Process
Stage 2: Hypothesis generation (in progress)
Stage 3: Empirical research with Atlas Fellowship sample (2022 done, 2023 in preparation)
Stage 4: Review of findings and further hypothesis generation
Stage 5: Iterate stages 3–4

Our Motivation
Many of the world’s most pressing issues, such as pandemic prevention, geopolitical conflict, global health, or risks from emerging technologies have significant funding available from investors as well as governmental and philanthropic sources. Progress on these issues is primarily constrained by talented young people being aware of career opportunities in these fields. Simultaneously, young talent is often interested in making an impact but unaware of these options, and follows default paths in corporate or academic jobs that do not result in large-scale impacts. We aim to resolve this talent allocation problem by researching effective solutions, and applying them to benefit students around the world.
